You may have noticed that things have changed alittle on this site. I’ve decided to narrow down my focus and primarily use this site to promote myself and my career. It’s all about music now! The Music of Lou Harrison The UH Contemporary Music Ensemble presents an evening dedicated to the music of American composer Lou Harrison (1917-2003), a visionary figure of the Twentieth Century who helped bridge the divide between Asia and the West. On the program is his Trio for violin, viola and cello; First Concerto for flute and percussion; Varied Trio for violin, piano and percussion, and other works. Two guest artists will join the ensemble for this concert: Guitarist Luke Trimble will perform Harrison’s Serenade, and violinist Helen Liu will be featured on Concerto in Slendro.
