Luna Duo
The violin-viola team, Luna Duo, was formed in November 2006 at the State University of New York-Stony Brook after having performed in various chamber combinations. Their excellent interpretive performances of contemporary and romantic works in their respective doctorate recitals has led them to focus solely on chamber works for the two instruments. In addition to duo performances, they have collaborated with various guest artists such as the Emerson String Quartet, Ani Kavafian, Colin Carr, and Arthur Haas. Under the guidance of Katherine Murdock and Philip Setzer, the duo is a versatile pair that is fluent in all musical styles and has a keen interest in the performance of new and under-performed works for duo as well as for other chamber group combinations.
