The HARX
This group was the first attempt at a jazz/easy listening band back in the day (circa 2003). The group name “HARX” is actually an acronym of each band member’s first name (”Helen-Abe-Randy-eXperiment, or alternatively, Xmas”). We joined together primarily to fulfill the requirement to apply for a Christmas album recording project for a panel of judges, who were actually people we knew, but turned out otherwise. We were pretty stoked on making our own arrangements of these popular jolly tunes, and they actually turned out pretty good. The songs we ended up recording at the New England Conservatory were Silent Night, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, and Christmastime is Here. We felt that we were on to something special, but the project fell through and we never got a chance to become famous playing these tunes. But we have our CD… stuffed in the back of the shelves somewhere. Take a listen and check out our myspace and facebook page. Download our promo kit
